About Us

Our work helps bridge the gap between talking about wellbeing and actually living it.

HUMAN
KIND exists to make mental wellbeing part of everyday life, not just something reserved for moments of crisis.

We work with organisations, schools, and communities to build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills people need to support themselves and each other. Because real change doesn’t come from awareness alone, it comes from understanding, conversation, and action.

Our Approach

At HUMANKIND, we believe mental wellbeing should be accessible, grounded, and human.

Our training, coaching, and workshops are informed by psychology, neuroscience, and mindfulness, and designed to be practical, relatable, and immediately applicable in real-world settings. We focus on early support, prevention, and capability-building, helping people recognise when someone may be struggling, respond with confidence, and create healthier environments where wellbeing can be sustained.

Rather than offering one-off initiatives or surface-level solutions, we support organisations to build understanding, skills, and cultures that last.

Our Founder

The human behind HUMANKIND

HUMANKIND was founded by Ashley Spencer, a psychology-informed coach and mental wellbeing practitioner with certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Coaching, Strategic Life Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), meditation, and Holistic Health Coaching.

With a Master’s degree in Psychology and extensive experience supporting individuals and groups, Ashley brings a balance of evidence-based insight and deep empathy to the work. Her approach is grounded, thoughtful, and human, recognising that people don’t need fixing, but they do need awareness, understanding, skills, and support.

HUMANKIND reflects both professional expertise and lived experience, shaped by a genuine commitment to creating kinder, healthier ways of living and working.

Who We Work With

Across all settings, our work supports people at every level, from employees and students to leaders, managers, and frontline staff, helping them navigate pressure, change, and responsibility with greater clarity, resilience, and compassion.

Organisations & Workplaces

We support organisations to create healthier, more sustainable ways of working. Through training, coaching, and workshops, we help employees and leaders manage pressure, build resilience, and develop the confidence to support mental wellbeing, their own and others’, at work.

Our work focuses on prevention, early support, and capability-building, helping organisations move beyond tick-box wellbeing initiatives towards meaningful, lasting change.

Education Settings

We work with schools, colleges, and education providers to support the mental wellbeing of staff and students alike. Our approach equips individuals with practical skills to recognise early signs of distress, manage stress and emotional pressure, and foster psychologically safe learning environments.

We understand the unique demands of education settings and tailor our work to support wellbeing alongside academic and organisational responsibilities.

Community Groups

We partner with community organisations and services to make mental wellbeing support more accessible and human. Our work helps build confidence, understanding, and practical skills within communities, supporting people to look after themselves and one another in everyday life.

Whether working with volunteers, frontline workers, or community members, we focus on connection, early support, and reducing barriers to wellbeing.
